The Photon P1’s Precision-Milled Steel Build Plate (flatness tolerance < 80 μm) ensures superior flatness, durability, and adhesion stability compared with aluminum plates, delivering consistently reliable results no matter which configuration you choose.

Photon P1 currently does not support automatic recognition and heating functions for dual-platform cartridges.

How does dual-color or dual-material printing work?

The Photon P1 supports two-color and two-material printing through the optional Dual Material Print Kit, which includes two independent resin tanks and matching build plates. With separate slicer settings for each tank, the printer can handle two colors or two resin types in a single job, helping reduce waste and removing the need for multiple print runs.
- For dual-color prints using the same resin type, simply pour two different colors into the tanks and set the slicing parameters accordingly. The printer outputs both colors at the same time, completing the model in one run—saving time and simplifying your workflow.
- For dual-material prints, assign a different resin type to each tank in the slicer. Each material uses its own parameters during printing, allowing both to be processed simultaneously while maintaining consistent precision across the entire model.
The Dual Material Print Kit is available as an optional add-on.

Great value resin printer which I use for printing dental models. I have taken one star off as lid is warped and scrapes against printing platform in its upper resting position when opening and closing.

Anycubic Photon P1

Only had the printer for a week. It is an upgrade to my old Photon Mono M5s Pro, and what a great upgrade it is too. It is quicker, more reliable bigger and a lot quieter. The build plate is really heavy! I have been using my normal resin as I never got on with the Anycubic ABS like on the old printer. I did a quick resin exposure test and at 2.6 secs thats it. I have not had a failed print. The fact I can send it reliably from my laptop in the house to the printer in the garage and it just gets on with it. It keeps you informed all the way through the print. I have checked with the camera a couple of times but it is not something I will use a lot. It has been a great purchase and I highly recommend it to any prospective buyer.

Anycubic Photon P1

Very good machine. Quick to set up though I did have a little trouble connecting the printer to my PC, but I did finally figured it out. I did a test print and the two items I printed came out excellent. One item was a test measurement print with measurable features. These features were very accurate when measured with callipers. The one issue I encountered was not realising resin collects on top of the build plate. After completing a print I pulled the plate off its mount tipping it towards me and caused resin to spill on the printer and onto the floor. Now that I know not to tip the plate as I did I’m sure I’ll never do that again.

I've been a user of Anycubic for a little while now. My old Mono 4 offered fantastic value for money, and once I outgrew the entry-level stage, I upgraded to this P1. Delivery was extremely fast, and the packaging was very secure. In terms of hardware specs alone, the P1 is fully maxed out, and its design is incredibly eye-catching. It features a quick-release resin tank, a solid all-metal build plate with substantial heft, and that ball screw is a major plus. The price is also very reasonable right now. As one of the top consumer-grade resin 3D printers currently available, I have really high expectations for its performance going forward.
